On Colouring

I feel like I need to develop a better colouring method than doing a section at a time like, so instead of doing head, then arms, then legs ect I do it so I do a base then build it up in layers so the whole drawing progresses at the same time. Thing is I just get so caught up in details and if the whole drawing looks sloppy early on I just give up. It is something I'm thinking about working on, but at the moment I feel like this does work for me so I'm loathe to change it, even if a more "all-inclusive" colouring method would be technically better.
